Inbox Resources
Although you have already created and deployed your workflow there is one final thing you need to do to complete the configurations required to import a video file using FlexMOVE. You must create an Inbox resource. An inbox resource is a special type of folder resource, designed for the delivery of incoming files. You must connect the Inbox to a temporary storage resource where files being imported are moved to and then configure the Inbox to trigger the import workflow that you have just created. You can set a metadata schema to be used for assets imported using this Inbox and set whether metadata must be supplied before the assets are imported.
Creating an inbox resource
In Flex Core, go to the New menu and select Resource.
In the Create new Resource screen, give your folder resource a Name and an optional Description. Set which accounts and groups have access to the resource by setting its Visibility and select Inbox Plugin. You do not need to set a Polling interval. In this example, you can see an Inbox for importing assets with FlexMOVE.
Save your changes and then move to the Configuration sub-tab and click Edit to add the storage resource that the Inbox connects to from the Storage Resource drop down list. You can also change the Housekeeping Period. This is the amount of time files are kept in the Inbox storage. To avoid losing files, the import job should always copy or move the imported asset file out of the Inbox. After you select your import workflow you can save your Inbox and Dalet Flex will use a default variant and metadata definition during the import process.
If you want to enhance your import process, you can add these additional configurations. Set the Variant for the imported asset and select a Metadata Definition that has been created for this asset type. Finally, if you want users to supply metadata before they upload files, in the UI Plugin section, select the Metadata Form Plugin Name.
Finish by saving your changes and then you must Enable and Start your Inbox as for all resources.
Importing an asset
Once you have created your workflow and assigned the workflow to an Inbox, you are ready to import and asset. To import an asset, open FlexMOVE. And click View Workflow to view your import workflow.
Open FlexMAM, by adding `/fmp/index` to the end of your platform URL. Once the workflow is completed, you can find your imported asset in the Asset Results table or search for it in the Search Bar.
