Antivirus exceptions recommendations for Dalet's Galaxy, Amberfin, Brio, CubeNG, Brio Media Navigator Installations

Following document lists out the official recommendations in regards to the Anti Virus exceptions which will ensure smooth operations of Galaxy and Amberfin, Brio, CubeNG, Brio Media Navigator installations.

Dalet Galaxy

Media files and media auxiliary file extentions are recommended to be excluded.
This include the following list:
    .mxf

Application configuration and data files extensions are recommended to be excluded:

    .xslt
    .xml
    .cache
 
Following folders are recommended to be excluded in Galaxy installations (DIS 1.5/DIS 2.0), depending on Dalet Galaxy revisions:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Dalet 
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server 
• C:\Program Files\Dalet
• C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL server - Dalet recommends that path to be excluded for performance reasons. 
• C:\ProgramData\Dalet (and subfolders)
• C:\ProgramData\DaletPlusData
• Wherever you define a special location for a feature and/or server, such as the SolrIndex assignment, in the case below for example \COMPUTER_NAMELocation of indexserver

• Wowza installation path

In particular:

Wowza generates chunk files in the live application content folder (which can be configured, the default is the Wowza content folder, <Wowza-install-directory>\content)

Wowza writes logs in the log folder <Wowza-install-directory>\logs

Dalet Amberfin

The following folders are recommended to be excluded in Amberfin installations, depending on 64 or 32 bit revisions:

Dalet Brio and Brio Media Navigator

Anti Virus should not be installed on a Dalet Brio and Brio Media Navigator platform. Further details are in: Dalet Brio Support Troubleshooting.

Dalet CubeNG

On the Designer workstation, install the antivirus without issue, because it's not used in production like the playout ones which could be affected by performance issues.

You should exclude the working folders of Brainstorm Aston, where it is installed and where it is storing preferences and data.
In addition to this, we recommend excluding the folder where the projects are saved and also the dongle unit.

Brainstorm Aston working folders (if they are not changed during installation:

C:\Program Files\Brainstorm\Aston
C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Brainstorm\Aston

Project folder:

your drive:\BRAINSTORM_PROJECT\PROJECT

and the Dongle unit.

As additional exclusions, we recommend the ports used by Aston for the TCP communication:

SERVER_PORT=5123
ONAIR_PORT=5124
ANSWERING_PORT=6200
