HDR HLG Support in Dalet Galaxy five

Feature #14465: Galaxy - HDR HLG Format Support Phase 1 - Detection and Send to NLE Support and Feature #13568: Galaxy - HDR HLG format support phase 2 - Preview and Proxy based editing and Feature #15404: HDR HLG format support phase 3 - Onecut Proxy Editing for XAVC 4K HDR HLG in SP 12 of Dalet Galaxy five 5.0 (May 2023) and in SP 3 of Dalet Galaxy five 7.0 (August 2023).

Introduction

High Dynamic Range (HDR) images preserve the true colors of dark and bright scenes. The technique can be used on images or video frames.

This article describes HDR HLG support in Dalet Galaxy five, where HDR HLG metadata is preserved throughout all specified operations.

Dalet supports SDR proxy editing with 4K HDR HLG content.
