Dalet is excited to present the release of Dalet Flex 2026.4.0.
This release of Dalet Flex provides the new features, quality and security enhancements, bug fixes, and other changes listed below.
Required Versions for Unified Installer for FlexXtend
- Xtend-flex-unified-installer: 4.0.34
Dalet Flex
New Features
Improve multi stream audio playback
An improved mechanism for multi-stream audio playback of HLS and MPD (Shaka) proxy assets has been implemented. The main differences compared to the previous implementation are:
Multi-audio can only be accessed when the mode is activated directly from the timeline by clicking the dedicated icon. Use standard Ctrl/Cmd+ Click and Shift+Click to select/deselect multiple tracks.

Selecting multi-audio mode or exiting, resets the currently selected tracks. Playback restarts from the beginning, after which you can select the tracks you want to mix.
If all selected tracks are mono tracks, the player also provides channel mapping capabilities. A new icon is displayed in the player transport area, displaying the available channel mapping options.

When multi channels are selected and you select Mono in the channel mapper, the View Meter displays the same signal in both channels regardless of the signal in the track.

When multi channels are selected and you select Stereo (L/R) in the channel mapper, the View Meter displays the correct signal in the left and right tracks.

Known Limitation: In the current implementation, users cannot manually assign tracks to specific outputs. Currently, the available mappings follow standard industry practices.
Display status values in FlexMAM
From version 2025.4.0, Dalet Flex introduced the infrastructure for supporting custom asset statuses and status flow. Asset status and lifecycle management is only supported via API. From this version of Dalet Flex, status and colors that are assigned to assets/objects via API are displayed by default in FlexMAM in the Summary panel and in Tile View. To view the status in the table listing, add the Status Flow field to a display template. You can also add Status Flow as a filter for searches. If an asset does not have a status, the Status field is empty.
Add the Status Flow field to the template

The asset status is displayed in the asset listing table and in the Details tab of the Summary panel.

Non – custom statuses: Locked and Archived are also displayed in the Details tab with a default color.

NOTE: They are not displayed in the results listing (table/tile)
Assets in Tile View

On small tiles, when hovering over the asset, a round green status indicator is displayed to the left of the 3-dot menu

You can add Status Flow as a filter to search for any assets that have a custom status assigned to them.

NOTE: Status cannot be changed from the FlexMAM UI, only via API.
Additional support of thumbnails on UDOs
From this version of Dalet Flex the support of thumbnails for UDOs has been extended to:
Thumbnails on child UDOs

Multiple thumbnails on all UDO levels

Update the FlexTRACK dashboard to support the Waiting state for workflows
The Waiting state is now supported in filters in FlexTRACK when workflows are at a task node or a wait node.

Flex Xtend
New Features
Implement a Unified Installer for FlexXtend (MAC and Windows)
To work with Flex Xtend, the following components must be installed: OREO, Dalet Premiere Importer, Flex Xtend Panel plugin and Flex Xtend AME plugin (for AME machines).
To simplify installing Flex Xtend, from this version of Dalet Flex, a unified installer is available for installing all Flex Xtend components: OREO, Dalet Premiere Importer, Flex Xtend Panel plugin and Flex Xtend AME plugin. The Unified Installer should always be used to install Flex Xtend since it supports any dependencies between versions and ensures that the correct versions of all components are always installed.
The setups are available in the Flex Nexus repository and the Web Nexus repository here. If you do not have access, please contact your Dalet representative.

The set ups for the Flex Xtend Unified Installer for Flex Xtend in the webnews-xtend-unified-installer folder are:
MAC: xtend-flex-unified-installer-osx-x64-signed.pkg
Windows: xtend-flex-unified-installer-win64-signed.exe

To install Flex Xtend, click on the link to download the correct version of the setup and double click to run.

For a Windows installation, Flex Xtend Unified Installer installs the update for all Windows users on the machine.
For a Mac installation, you can select whether to install for all users or only for the user running Unified nstaller.

NOTE: If your first installation with Unified Installer fails, manually remove the previous versions of FlexXtend from the command line before running the Unified Installer a second time.

Support “full” check in using a mezzanine format generated by local AME
Partial check-in using FlexXtend, includes a pre-transcode process performed by the local AME that generates new files that are then checked in to Dalet Flex. The pre-transcode process allows the upload of files that may be in unknown or heavy formats, since it creates a supported mezzanine version rather than the original broadcast format.
Until this release, partial check-in was only supported if media dragged into the Timeline was cropped to less than 100% of the original file. From this version of Dalet Flex, you can perform full check in using the mezzanine format, regardless of whether the media in the Timeline has been cropped or not. In this case, when you click Generate & Replace in the Export/Save As/Save tabs, a new file is generated locally and added to the Media Bin in Premiere. This file can then be checked in to Dalet Flex, in the same way as with partial check-in.
Setting and Configuration updates
To enable this functionality, in the flexXtendAdobePanelSettings.json file add this flag
mediaCheckinGenerateMezzanineFormatBeforeCheckin=true
The FlexXtend Settings panel has been updated to support this functionality.
- Media Check-in section has been moved before Partial Check-in section
- A mandatory field,
Check in Format EPR field has been added to the Media check-in section. This setting is used when performing full check-in using a mezzanine format and when performing partial check-in.
- File generation Preset (EPR) path field has been removed from the Partial check-in section.
