Dalet Flex
New Features
Supported formats in FlexMOVE configurable via Consul KV
Until this version of Dalet Flex, file types and allowed formats for FlexMOVE were hard coded. To improve control over allowed formats, from this version of Dalet Flex, the formats are controlled using a Consul KV, /flex/flex-webtransfer-app/extensions.
Add allowed formats together with the relevant asset type that is created on upload.
Only formats added to the KV are displayed in the upload location when Custom Files is selected, all other files are filtered out. To see all files in the upload location, use the All Files list.
NOTE: If no formats are added to the KV, the system falls back and uses the hard-coded list.
Graphic asset: Backend support
To enable Dalet Flex to support graphics assets as managed primary media assetsas part of MOS-based workflows for newsroom and graphics system integration, a new asset type, Graphic asset, has been added to the Flex asset model. In the current implementation, you can import and create generic graphic assets that reference different types of graphic assets, such as mogrt or lottie files.
NOTE: Currently, you cannot preview graphic assets in Timeline/Cut. Integration with the MOS Gateway is required for full newsroom system integration.
Enforce maximum number of options for Options metadata field
From this version of Dalet Flex, a configurable hard limit on the number of options for "Option" (single/multi option) metadata fields has been introduced. The default maximum number of options is set to 200, but this can be overridden up to 2500, with this Consul KV flex/shared/metadataDefinition/optionsMaxLimit. A tooltip and info icon display when the maximum options limit is reached in Metadata Designer. New options can only be added after existing options have been removed.
NOTE: If the KV value exceeds the maximum, a warning log is generated when opening Metadata Designer and the system enforces the limit of 2500.
New fqlFilter parameter for search on API
From Dalet Flex 2026.6.0, a new parameter fqlFilter can be used to separate filtering logic from search queries in API search queries. Previously, all conditions were passed via the fql parameter impacting filtering and scoring. Now there are two parameters:
Existing API usage with fql continues to work unchanged. The fqlFilter is optional but is recommended for better performance and accuracy.
NOTE: The new parameter is currently available in both the REST and GraphQL Search APIs of SearchElastic service. It is not available for Client searches.
Dalet-tenant-provisioning-service created
From this version of Dalet Flex, a new microservice, dalet-tenant-provisioning-service, to automate the end-to-end provisioning of Flex tenant accounts, including account creation, user setup, Solution Package deployment, and storage resource (SR) provisioning is available. This service serves as the central orchestrator for tenant onboarding and coordinating with multiple systems to deliver a fully operational Flex environment from a single request.
FSP supports DNxHD and ProRes formats
FSP (using Linux DMT) supports reading, processing, exporting, decoding and encoding DNxHD and ProRes source files. For ProRes sources, support MOV files which contain timecode tracks before video.
GUI updates for FlexMAM apps
The GUI in FlexMAM apps: FlexMAM, FlexMOVE, FlexREVIEW, FlexADMIN, has been updated. The new structured design separates the GUI into three clear areas: navigation and browsing, search and search results, activities. The following changes have been made:
Default color for elements and icons changed to orange as per Dalet Flex branding
Filter bar has been redesigned and remains aligned with the Asset Results panel
Left panel extends from the top to the bottom of the screen
Panel shapes have been redesigned
Add toggle button to display/hide elements in the Manage Page timeline
Toggle buttons to display/hide elements are available in timeline in the Manage Page.
All the buttons are toggled on by default. Toggle state is retained throughout a session and is only reset after logout.

Update the left panel in the Manage Page timeline
From this version of Dalet Flex, the default size of the left panel in the Manage Page has been made larger and you can resize the panel by dragging the divider between the panel and the timeline.
Select template for displaying asset results from the GUI
The template drop own list has been added to the Search Results interface to directly select the template to use in the GUI.
Flex Mobile users must be FlexMAM users
For this version of Dalet Flex, users trying to login and work with FlexMOBILE MUST have permission to use FlexMAM.
Add a Consul KV to enable extended selection of bulk assets
Shift+ click for bulk selection is not enabled in Dalet Flex by default. To enable, use this boolean Consul KV: flex/flex-fmp-app/enableExtendedBulkSelection.
Dalia triggers workflows through conversation
In preparation for Dalia allowing users to discover and execute Dalet Flex workflows through natural language conversation and a description of what a user wants to do, in this release, workflow definitions have been updated. The update includes adding AI-native descriptions as tags that when enabled will allow Dalia, in the future, to discover and invoke customer workflows dynamically.
Dalet Cut
New Features
Improvements in Dalet Cut
Reduce default maximum timeline duration
To provide optimal navigation, the maximal timeline duration, via zooming in for example, is limited to the last frame of the clip in timeline plus 10 minutes.
Nudge clips in timeline with keyboard shortcuts
A common and efficient method used in professional editing tools (such as Adobe Premiere Pro) is nudging clips with keyboard shortcuts (like Adobe Premiere Pro). From this version of Dalet Flex, Dalet Cut (in expert mode only) allows frame-accurate movements without using the mouse, improving speed and precision.
A different keyboard shortcut can be defined in the Settings.
Burn Captions when rendering a project
From this version of Dalet Flex, you can natively burn captions in Dalet Cut via a new button. It is burned only to the target title (without attaching the captions).
Ingest Portal
New Features
Implement role-based access and permissions for Ingest Portal
To allow you to control who can perform specific actions, from this version of Dalet Flex, Dalet Ingest Portal uses role-based access to control permissions for:
Sites
Sources
Targets
Set this flag to true at environment level to enable reading/managing permissions for Ingest Portal from FlexADMIN and not from Consul: flex/flex-ingestportal-app/enablePermission.
Once this flag is set, permissions for all accounts on the environment are read from FlexADMIN at Application Management > Ingest.
In this tab, you can add sites (with workspace assignment) and then assign users/groups to individual sources and targets using the Share dialog.
Creating an Ingest Site
In Application Management > Ingest, click Add Site and provide the relevant information in the pop-up window.
Click Add Site in the dialog, the Site is added to FlexADMIN. The Sources and Targets associated to the Site are displayed in the interface.
Click on the Site Name to open the corresponding ingest scheduler app for the Site.
Permissions are managed on two levels: Workspace and Roles.
Workspace – gives access to Sites/Sources/Targets and determines what you can see
By default, any user that is in the workspace that the Ingest Site is created on shares the same Permissions as the user who created the Site, provided they have appropriate Role permissions (see below).
If no definitive workspace is set for the Ingest Site, it is associated to the account workspace, and all users have access to the Site.
Role – controls permissions and determines what you can do with the Site/Sources/Targets. Roles can be used to limit permissions, for example you can assign a role with less permissions to create a group of users that only has rights to View recording jobs and cannot modify them even though these users are in the same workspace as the Site owner.
Assigning ACL Permissions
You can also assign ACL Permissions for Ingest Site/Sources/Targets to users that are not part of the workspace. To do this, click the Add Member icon.
Select Users/Groups and select View/Modify permissions.
NOTE: The user/group must have the correct Role permissions for Ingest Objects to be able to perform the actions assigned via ACL sharing.
Adding ACL for Site does not add ACL for Sources or Targets, these permissions must be given separately. To assign ACL permissions on Sources and Targets, select the Add Member icon in these screens.
Click Share, the ACL permissions are assigned and the number of assigned shares is indicated next to the ingest object. Click on the Shared link to view details of the ACL permissions.
NOTE: For InStream sites, recorders are created dynamically on the fly as recording jobs are created and they are removed as soon as the job completes. They are not displayed in FlexADMIN and cannot have ACL permissions assigned to them. To create recordings in InStream, users must have Start permissions on Ingest Sources and Ingest Targets in their Role.
Ingest rights set in Dalet FlexAdmin are enforced in Dalet Ingest Portal and control who can see sites, see/modify resources, handle ingest jobs (create/modify/abort). Unavailable action icons are greyed out when permissions have not been granted.
Synchronizing Ingest Sites
Sources and Targets may be added or removed in Ingest Portal. Click on the Synch all Sites with Flex button to update the display for all Sites in FlexADMIN or click the 3-dot menu to synch for a specific Site.
Ingest Controller/Ingest Portal -Store ingested related time values in UTC
From this version of Dalet Flex, all backend APIs, responses, and database values/stores for Ingest Controller/Ingest Portal use UTC exclusively, removing ambiguity and errors caused by local time/DST changes. The backend sites can be in different time zones and the front-end UI time fields are mapped to local times.
Ingest Portal now displays all scheduled recordings and ingest jobs in each site's own time zone (taken from the server/ingest-portal-api service rather than the browser's local time), with communication to the Ingest Scheduler kept in UTC ensuring that times remain correct before, during, and after daylight-saving-time transitions, with no regressions to existing time-related workflows. In addition, the Portal adds visual hints to help avoid cross-timezone scheduling mistakes: the site selector shows each site's abbreviated time zone; the current-time display shows the full time zone name with a tooltip giving the offset from the user's local time.
The Add Recording panel and the Job Info panel (start/end times) show the time zone label and offset. Labels and tooltips update dynamically and cover both positive and negative offsets.
Improved warning messaging
From this version of Dalet Flex, the warning messages received for jobs in Ingest Portal have been improved to give a clear visual distinction between errors and warnings. Warnings such as the stream-anomaly warning raised when a recording is auto-stopped because of a non-real-time stream, are shown in the dedicated warning section of the Job Info panel, and no warning section is displayed when there are no warnings.
Flex Xtend
New Features
Add frontend logging to Flex Xtend
To prevent the loss of useful logs written for the FlexXtend client, frontend logs are now written for the client.
When working in Proxy mode, Adobe must get a high-res reference, with the high-res expected frame size, to generate a valid sequence. This Epic enhances the functionality when a DLT file is imported into Adobe Premiere. Instead of using black frames for the hi-res media, the associated proxy file with "real" video will be used and scaled to the dimensions of the hi-res media. This change will allow FlexXtend to import growing files since the duration of the high-res file will not be static but will grow as the proxy grows.
The variable ProxySourceReference, that points to the proxy URL of the high-res file, has been added to the Dummy DLT generated for the high-res version of the imported media. When the variable exists, daletPremiereImporter reads the frames from the given proxy URL and provides them to Adobe as if they were high resolution together with the width, height and audio of the media.
By default, this flag is set to true in the code and it is hidden, to disable:
Manually add useProxyReferenceInHighResDlt=false in the Settings.json.
Remove unused non-MAM clips from Premiere project when saving
To solve a scenario where after importing a project from Dalet Flex, the Premiere media bin contains references to clips that are offline, from this version of Dalet Flex, you can enable a setting to remove unused non-MAM clips from the Premiere project when saving. If the Remove unused media from saved project option in the Settings panel is selected, local media in the Media Bin in Premiere that is not used on the timeline is removed from the project before saving it to Dalet Flex. This ensures that when you reimport the project through Flex Xtend, all the media is online. By default, the checkbox is not selected.
Improvements in the deeplink import workflow
From this version of Dalet Flex, the deeplink import workflow for multiple projects has improved. You can now trigger multiple project imports through deeplinks without having to wait for the current import to finish. When multiple deeplinks are opened, Flex Xtend queues them and processes them one by one without the need to click the OK button in the Xtend panel between each import. At the end of each import, a message is displayed in the Import tab.
Improvements in importing multiple projects simultaneously
From this version of Dalet Flex, you can import multiple projects simultaneously in Flex Xtend:
Media is imported to the correct Premiere media bin regardless of which media Bin is currently selected
If import is cancelled/fails, retry imports media into the target project and does not create an additional project
The specific project each asset is assigned to is displayed in the Import status window
