UDOs Disappear from Search if Metadata Schema is Updated

A user had a user defined object (Story) with an attached metadata definition. If they changed the metadata definition (added / removed options from a single option field) then existing user defined objects of that same type would disappear from the Stories tab in the UI / search, unless they changed the search type from “Stories” to “Everything”.

Resolution: Users can now search using the user defined object type.

Note: When adding / removing variables from metadata definitions, you must refresh the page in order to see the new variables.

Interdependent Field Rules for UDOs

When updating metadata for user defined objects via the REST API, interdependent field rules a were not being applied.

Resolution: Use VariableTreeValidation instead of jsonValidation for metadata instances and apply schema rules.
