Ooyala is excited to present the release of Ooyala Flex Media Platform 7.4.1. This release of Ooyala Flex Media Platform provides the new features, quality enhancements, fixes, and other changes listed below.
New Features and Enhancements
Collections
- New Collection Service introduced as a foundation to enhanced collection functionality. This includes the ability to add a temporal region to a collection.
Multiple Copies
- Introduced new File Replication Service to provide Multiple Copies capabilities supporting local and S3 storage locations.
Flex Login Application
- Flex Login Application now integrated with all Flex applications providing a single sign on experience, including Operations Dashboard, Flex MAM, Flex Reviewer, Metadata Designer, Workflow Designer and Web Transfer, in addition to Enterprise and FMP OoyalaMAM, as introduced previously.
Flex MAM
- Introduced FQL ~ “contains” capability.
- Support added for CR/LF line break characters to display textarea field values in multiple lines.
Search
- Re-Indexing of Variants now supported.
Job Execution Framework (JEF)
- Extensions to API to return either locker or lockee users for a given job.
Flex Enterprise
- VFS Sharding Support introduced for Keyframes
- Introduced latest aws-sdk 1.11.475 version in mio-filesystem, and support for S3 hostname and region with back compatible '-' separator.
Resolved Issues
- Flex Metadata Merge Service: Metadata merge removes all existing values in a drill-down field when a metadata definition containing a drill-down field is modified
- Flex Web Transfer Application: Upload button text typo in Korean language version
- Flex Index Elastic Service: Asset\UDO not getting indexed when created with specific metadata
- Flex UI Library: Web Transfer does not propagate the chosen workspace to the Enterprise APIs used for typeahead lookup
- Flex Enterprise: `getObjectVariableOptions()` methods do not support specifying a particular workspace
- Flex Enterprise: Generate events for variant modifications
- Flex Search Elastic Service: FQL Sort for complex objects are not working
- Flex Enterprise: "GCS" option is missing in re-import action in configuration
- Flex Stream Processor Service: Transcode job fails when specifying overlay image on video stream using FSP
- Flex Enterprise: Media Asset which was copied by the copy action isn't counted in resource summary statistics.
