Ooyala Flex 6.0.3 Release Notes 2017-09-19

Purpose

Ooyala Flex 6.0.3 is a maintenance release to fix issues found in production.

What's New

Ooyala Flex and Ooyala Flex Publish APIs

A date showing when an asset was first published is now returned in the Flex B2B API and Flex Publish API asset routes.

MAM

* Actions are now displayed more quickly in the MAM screen.
* In the <span class="ph uicontrol">Bulk Actions</span> panel, the “create group” and “add to group” functions are now enabled by the same button; select an existing group to add an asset to that group, or type to create a new group to add it to.

Issues Fixed

Search on asset name returns a different asset

When a search was performed on specific text, the search returned different results to what was searched for.

Resolution: Search now returns the correct results.

Bulk upload and metadata issues

During bulk upload of files, not all metadata was saved.

Resolution: Metadata is now accurately saved.

Inaccurate message from save button on task

Upon completing a task, clicking the button marked <span class="ph uicontrol">Finish & Start Next</span> displayed a popup warning that continuing would cause unsaved data to be lost. However, the data was already saved.

Resolution: The incorrect popup is no longer displayed.

Add User Defined Object Type Id to the UDO index

The <span class="ph uicontrol">User Defined Object Type Id</span> field is mandatory for UDOs in the MAM application, but was not added to the search index.

Resolution: The field has now been added to the search index.

Required fields and UDOs not playing properly

When both the UDO selector and metadata form were enabled, and both included the required fields, the behaviour was not correct.

When a UDO was selected from a required UDO selector, the <span class="ph uicontrol">Upload File</span> button was enabled, even though the required metadata fields were not completed.

Resolution: The behaviour exhibited is now correct.

Metadata Designer - Cannot edit and save metadata definition on single option field

When trying to set the an option value as default on a single option field, an error was shown.

Resolution: Both the single option variable and multi option variable are now working properly.

Flex Enterprise - Group Asset is not resetting published flag

When a Group Asset was completely unpublished, the Publish flag was not reset (this, for instance, did not allow an asset to be purged).

Resolution: Unpublished assets are now marked as unpublished.

<span class="notetitle">Note:</span> When members of a group asset are published, the group asset displays as published, even if the group asset itself is not published.

Extra spaces at the beginning of the file cause workflow fail

The system could not find files that had extra spaces at the beginning.

Resolution: Extra spaces at the beginning of files cause no problems.

Metadata Designer: Validation error when saving a schema with option fields that have a default option set

When saving a metadata schema with options that had default values, an error was displayed.

Resolution: No error is now displayed.

Metatadata multiplicity 0..1 issue

In Web Uploader, a field with multiplicity of 0 or 1 was not displaying as expected.

Resolution: The field now displays as intended.

User search partial matching not working for certain roles

Some users, dependent on their own role, could no longer search for other users (in <span class="ph uicontrol">Access > Advanced Search</span>), despite having list and view Users permissions. All users were, however, visible on the Users page.

Resolution: User search is now working.

Known Issues

Republish fails with internal server error

This issue occurs when there are network problems between publish services and Azure storage.
