Purpose
Ooyala Flex 6.0.4 is a maintenance release to fix issues found in production.
What's New
REST API
We have added an endpoint that returns a list of variable value options that are available for a specific object variable.
Resource | Endpoint | Method |
actions: | `/actions/{actionId}/variables/{variableId}/values` | get |
Log the reason why a media file fails to validate
Media file validation fail events are now displayed in the History tab of pre ingest validation jobs.
New wildcard in Advanced Search in MAM
If you add an asterisk ‘ * ’ before the search term when searching in the Advanced Search panel in MAM, a freetext search will be performed, which will not be strict, i.e. the search terms do not have to be matched exactly.
Issues Fixed
Flex Publish - Replaced master keyframes republish jobs fail when older master keyframe is deleted
In Version 6.0.3, when a master keyframe was replaced and deleted, a republish job that was supposed to republish the master keyframes failed, as the old keyframe was not deleted from the list of keyframes to be republished.
Resolution: Now, the deleted keyframe is properly removed from the list of keyframes to be published.
Searching for jobs and workflows by ID doesn't show results
When users searched for jobs and workflows by ID, it was found that the search results were not displayed, unless the Select All option next to the search field was selected, or if a specific ID was selected.
Resolution: The search results are now displayed correctly. By default, jobs and workflows are searched for by ID when a valid number is specified in the Search For box, irrespective of whether ID is selected as the search target option.
Remote SSH Command Line message - increase text size
The action configuration of the Remote SSH Command Line Message action truncated long command strings, causing the job to fail.
Resolution: The Command field type was changed from a string to text, so more than 500 characters can now be stored.
Allow `job.executeAction()` in the SDK
`job.executeAction()` was not working in the SDK.
Resolution: The command is now working for Action, Job, and Resource objects.
Not able to execute action visibility
If an action was created, and visibility of this action was given to an account, when a holder of this account tried to execute that action in MAM, the action page only displayed a loader.
Resolution: The action now displays as expected.
All Event Handler Launch jobs fail with Batch error
Launch jobs triggered from event handlers failed with unexpected batch count. Auto retry would result in failure.
Resolution: Launch jobs now work as expected.
Not able to enable newly created user with UTF character in username
Usernames containing UTF characters apart from ‘<’, ‘>’, ‘/’, and ‘\’ could not be enabled.
Resolution: Usernames containing any UTF characters apart from the above can now be used.
Error when viewing asset metadata in MAM after editing metadata schema from metadata designer
An error was displayed when viewing asset metadata in MAM that had been edited in the Metadata Designer.
Resolution: The metadata is now correctly displayed.
MAM
Improve actions performance
The action list for a set of assets was slow to load in MAM.
Resolution: The action list now loads faster in MAM.
No ability to edit group asset metadata
No option was displayed to edit metadata for group assets in MAM.
Resolution: An option is now displayed for editing the metadata when you are viewing group asset metadata.
Intermittent inability to scroll on "Manage Asset" metadata view
A scroll bar is usually displayed on the right side of the metadata panel when you hover over it, allowing the user to scroll down and view all metadata fields. Occasionally, the scroll bar was not displayed when the user hovered, so the user could not scroll down.
Resolution: The scrollbar is now always displayed in view and edit mode.
UDO - Navigation panel doesn't work when user navigates from search result
When a user searched for a UDO, the parent UDO’s children were not displayed in the Navigation panel, and the URL constructed was incorrect.
Resolution: The Navigation panel now displays the child UDOs, as expected.
Searching by date/time metadata fields in MAM causes an error
An error was displayed when searching by date/time metadata fields.
Resolution: The error is not displayed if time and date are entered in the correct format, as follows: yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss, for example `2017-09-16T12:45:02`.
Note: This error is still displayed in Firefox.
Inability to scroll on "Bulk Action" side panel
When using a Mac, the scroll bar was not displayed on the Bulk Action panel, so no more than 12 actions could be displayed in that panel at any time. The scrollbar was displayed if the window was resized.
Resolution: The scrollbar is now always displayed in the Bulk Action panel when more than 12 actions are included.
Advanced search returning results outside of set parameters
When an Advanced Search was run, results were returned that did not conform to the set parameters.
Resolution: Advanced Search now behaves as expected.
Known Issues
An error is displayed when searching by date/time metadata fields in MAM, when using Firefox.
